We derived the RRS(1) signal for arbitrary spectral/temporal profiles. We discussed that a convenient way to express the third-order polarization is to represent the optical pulses in the frequency domain, obtaining a compact integral equation over the Raman pump field. Then we discussed the IRS(1) diagram, associated to the SRS response in the blue side of the spectrum for a monochromatic pump as a function of the Raman pulse wavelength. Finally, we discussed that in the off-resonant regime, the blue side response consist of negative losses on top of the probe spectrum
